The strategies in this area are focused in strengthening the local development of communities in which El Minuto de Dios is involved in, aiming to obtain sustainable results for the most vulnerable.
Programs
Humanitarian Program for Displaced Population
• We hand-out an essential survival kit to each family. We also help with allocation of temporary accommodation and psychological assistance.
Financial Assistance Program
• It targets displaced families, assists in creating or strengthening of small-businesses and promoting employment.
Sponsor a Child Program
• Thanks to the support given by individuals and companies many children from low economic backgrounds can now have access to kindergarten, primary and high school education.
Educational for Development Center
• The Centre's mission is to strengthen people, vulnerable communities and organizations in their values, knowledge and abilities in social responsibility. Developing citizenship competence is the priority for the Centre. The main educational strategy for the Centre is Learning - Service, as students undertake their community service practice with the University.
PHONO-Support
• A free service provided over the phone which gives immediate help and advice to families and individuals, as well as providing physiological support and renewing Christian values.
